By cross-sectional dimensions, aluminum profiles are classified into series such as 10/15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 60, 80, 90, and 100. The series number is usually related to the main dimensions of the profile cross-section (such as width).
By application or function, industrial aluminum profiles can be divided into structural industrial aluminum profiles, functional industrial aluminum profiles, and specially treated industrial aluminum profiles, depending on their application. Structural profiles are mainly used to build machine frames or serve as the main support for equipment. Functional profiles may include designs with embedded guide rails, threaded holes, or other features. Specially treated profiles may undergo anodizing, coating, or other surface treatments to improve performance. Industrial aluminum profiles come in various product forms, including the profiles themselves as the base material, matching aluminum profile accessories, CNC precision machined parts, and the final products assembled from them, such as workbenches, industrial fences, automated production line frames, and logistics warehouse racks.
