A support system is a system composed of support components and their connectors. Support components include structural steel, steel pipes, and reinforced concrete members, assembled using bolts, welding, or clips.

 

The support system achieves three core functions based on the principle of geometrically invariable systems:

 

Load transfer: Transferring horizontal wind loads, seismic forces, and crane punching shear forces along a defined path to the foundation, reducing structural deformation.

 

Stiffness enhancement: The enclosed support frame increases the spatial stiffness of the structure and adjusts the stress distribution at complex nodes.

 

Stability assurance: Providing lateral support points for compression members to prevent local buckling instability.
